Girls Basketball Winter 2025/2026 Season

Welcome to the Girls 2025 Basketball Registration!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

To complete registration through our secure site you will need a copy of your players Birth Certificate, please also have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or ACH Bank Account information available.

Registration requires player uniform sizes to include jerseys and shorts. CHSA will provide at least one uniform try-on opportunity. CHSA will not REFUND or EXCHANGE uniforms.

Fees: Girls Instructional -Senior $185/player

General Information

Affiliation: Girls' teams compete in the Chesterfield Girls Basketball League. Clover Hill Sports Association (CHSA) conducts registration, selects coaches, forms teams/squads and provides uniforms. Game schedules and rules are provided by the league.

Eligibility: Children who live within the Grange Hall Elementary School attendance boundaries/zone or eligible free agents (no CGBL athletic association for basketball established within your elementary school zone) can play for the Clover Hill Sports Athletic Association. Girls that are at least 7 years old and no older than 18 years old on September 30th of the current year.

Fees: $185/player.

Instructional 7-8

Minors 8-10

Intermediate 12U

Juniors 14U

Seniors 18U

Instructional League: This program is designed as an introduction to basketball for 7- and 8-year-old girls. The emphasis is on the instruction of skills. The core of the program is regional clinics conducted on Saturday mornings. The goal height is 10 ft. Instructional girls will play 4 to 5 games after completing their series of skill clinics.

Team Selection: Teams are selected shortly after the talent assessments (if applicable), which are conducted during the month of November. Instructional teams are organized by the Basketball Director. Teammate requests will be considered but NOT GUARANTEED.

Coaches: Head coaches are selected by the Basketball Director. Assistant coaches are selected by the head coaches. All coaches must have a Coaching Card that is issued via Chesterfield County.

Season: November - March

Games: Most games are played on Saturdays, or Sundays, beginning mid-December and extend until the beginning of March. Game schedules are typically distributed by the League during the week prior to the first game. Please note: the Clover Hill Athletic Association does not set up the game schedules.

Practice: Each team is allotted weekly practice time at a local school gym subject to availability. Most practices are held at local gyms, such as Grange Hall Elementary, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Playing Time: Coaches will abide by the league rules regarding playing time.

Post Season Play: All teams except for Instructional, participate in a single-elimination post-season tournament.

All-Stars: There is no All-Star program.

Free Agent Policy: Children who live within the Grange Elementary School attendance boundaries will only be released to play for another association if we are unable to place them on a team. Players who request to play for another association will be released according to the request date and the merits of the individual case.

Fees: Boys Rookie thru Seniors $185

All coaches must display a valid Chesterfield County Background Check Card in order to be on a team bench and participate in coaching during a game

All first year coaches must attend a mandatory clinic on playing rules and requirements. All senior coaches must attend a mandatory clinic prior to the beginning of the season. Failure to attend these clinics will prohibit the coach from being approved by the league.

DIVISION ELIGIBILITY AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2025 – AGE BRACKETS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

A. Rookie – 6 – 8 years old(1st time 8 year old recommended, clinics followed by competitive play)

B. Tiger level- 8/U year old(Competitive play all season and tournament at end)

C. Cub – 9/U (7-year-old players not eligible for this Division).

D. Bear – 10/U

E. Minor – 11/U

F. Nets – 12/U

G. Intermediate – 13/U

H. Junior – 15/U

I. Senior – 18/U
