Fall 2025 Football

GENERAL INFORMATION

Affiliation:  Football teams compete in the Chesterfield Quarterback League (CQL). CHSA conducts registration, selects coaches, forms teams and provides uniforms/equipment. Game schedules and rules are provided by the league. CHSA is represented at the league level by the Football Administrator.

Eligibility: Children ages 5-13 as of July 31st 2025 who live within the boundaries of Grange Hall, Clover Hill, Winterpock, Woolridge, and any other Elementary School without an association. Amelia and other surrounding counties are also eligible.

Fees:  Flaggers (7U ) will be charged $185 per player. Minors, Juniors, Seniors (9U,11U,13U) will be charged $250 per player. Sibling Discount is available, please email [email protected] before registering for this.

Equipment: Clover Hill will provide Helmets (loaner) and knee pads (Minors, Juniors, Seniors), Reversible Jersey, Pant. Player/parent will need to provide shoulder pads and girdle (Minors, Juniors, Seniors), socks, cleats and mouth guard.

Team Selection:  There are no try-outs and no cuts. All players are given the opportunity to be on a team. There will be a cap on team size.

Coaches: We are always looking for great volunteers! All coaches will need to get their coaching cards from Chesterfield County. You can find more information on this through the link below:

Season: The 2025 Fall Football Regular In-Season Games will start after Labor Day and run through November. Super Bowl for Minors, Juniors, and Seniors will take place in December. First game will be September 6th. 

Practice:  Starts August 4th

Optional Summer Conditioning: Starting in July

(Before registering please have handy your Athlete's DMV Issued Child's ID (if provided in Spring 25' no need to resubmit). If your child does not have an ID yet you will need to submit prior to 1st practice.)

Please also have your signed CQL Parent Code of Conduct ready to submit.

Fall 2025 Cheer

🎉 Practice, Game & Competition Info – Let’s Go, Clover Hill Cheer! 🎉
Get ready for an incredible cheer season! Here’s everything you need to know:
📅 Summer Training Kicks Off July 22!
Optional summer practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 22. This is a great time to shake off the rust and jump back in with your teammates!
🔥 Mandatory Practices Begin August 6 for Competition Teams!
• Competition Teams: Tuesdays & Thursdays starting August 5
• Sideline-Only Teams: Thursdays starting August 7
Please note: practice days and times may shift as the season evolves.
⏰ Practice Times by Group:
• Wigglers & Minors: 6:00 – 7:30 PM
• Juniors & Seniors: 6:00 – 8:00 PM
• Sideline-Only: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
🏫 Weekly Grange Hall Elementary School Gym Practice
Beginning mid-September, all teams will have one indoor practice per week at GHES Gym.
🏆 Competitions – Mark Your Calendars!
Our competition teams will showcase their talent at 3 amazing events this fall:
• Cosby Recreational Rumble – Early October*
• CCL Spectacular – End of October
• FAME – Mid-October
(Dates are approximate and may change)
Note: Sideline-only cheerleaders do not attend competitions.
🎀 Cheer Camp = Team Bonding & Skill Building!
All competition team athletes will attend Cheer Camp in August – an unforgettable experience full of fun, skills, and team spirit!
Sideline-only athletes do not attend camp.
🚫 Piercing Policy – Strictly Enforced!
NO piercings (ear, nose, belly button, etc.) may be worn at practice or competitions. Athletes who cannot remove piercings will be dismissed from the team with no refunds. Please plan ahead!
🏥 Injuries & Attendance Reminders:
• Injured athletes may need to sit out of games/competitions.
• More than 3 unexcused absences = immediate removal from the team (no refunds).
🏈 Game Day Details:
• Competition teams will cheer at Saturday football games, with the potential of some weekday games on Wednesdays or Fridays.
• Sideline-only will cheer on Monday nights, subject to change if football teams do not qualify for Monday night games.
Game attendance is mandatory for all cheerleaders.
🍿 Snack Sign-Up:
Each team will use SignUpGenius to coordinate post-game snacks and drinks. We ask that each family signs up to help once per season.
